1. Soccer Doodle
Google presented this doodle during the 2012 Summer Olympics. This doodle put you as a goalie behind the net to defend the goal and ward off flying balls. You control the goalie using left and right arrows to move and the space bar to jump.
2. Moog Synthesizer
This doodle was presented in order to celebrate Robert Moog’s 78th birthday. It is, also, interactive and allows you to play and record your own song.
3. Turing Machine
In June, Google celebrated mathematician and the father of computer science Alan Turing for what would have been his 100th birthday. The goal of the game was to spell out “Google” in binary.
4. Halloween doodle
The Halloween doodle was very interesting. It was completely interactive – users could click on monsters and doors, exploring the haunted doodle.
5. Little Nemo doodle
This interactive doodle celebrates Little Nemo, the main character in the comics of Winsor McCay, published in the New York Herald and the New York American from 1905 to 1914.
6. Zipper doodle
In April, Google featured a giant zipper on its homepage, which allowed you to unzip the logo for search results for Gideon Sunback, the inventor of the zipper.
7. Valentine’s Day doodle
This doodle told the story of a boy’s attempt to win over a girls. In the 71-second video, he turns to Google Search for tips and eventually accomplishes the feat. In the video are shown different types of love, including what appears to be a same-sex couple.
8. Archery doodle
The archery doodle was featured on July 28, 2012, celebrating the Summer Olympic Games.
9. Father’s Day doodle
Celebrating Dads from all over the world in June.
10. Fabergé doodle
In May, Google honored a famous Russian jeweler named Peter Carl Fabergé, who is best known for his decorative eggs.
